Festival Sunset Inspired Eye- Featuring Morphe 35U Palette.

Recently I discovered the Morphe 35U palette, I've heard nothing but good reviews about Morphe and wanted to see what the fuss was about for myself. I decided to try the 35U as it has variety of matte shadows and shimmer shadows, there is some wearable shades in the palette, including soft browns, a gold and shimmering white. The rest of the shades are neon and bright, and I liked that this palette provided many options. The formula of the shadows is excellent, they are creamy and apply evenly. The only negative I have to say is that the pigmentation of the shadows is inconsistent, some are extremely pigmented and others have hardly any colour pay off at all. Although by wetting my brush with Mac Fix+ the shadows came to life, and I ended up with a vibrant look, perfect for summer & festivals.

Firstly to achieve this look I started with a light pink shade and a soft warm brown, I used the pink just above the crease and the soft brown focused in the crease to create a soft transition for the rest of the shadows.

I then went on and mixed together to two bright pink shades, wetting my brush with Mac Fix+, and using a flat shader brush I packed on the colour to the outer corner and inner half of the eye.
To create a soft gradient between the pink and the stark yellow lid shade I went in with the orange, this helped to also achieve the 'Sunset' colours I was going for. A lot of blending is required after each step.
I wanted the centre of the lid to really pop, and be intense so I wetted my brush again and really packed on the vibrant yellow shade.

Finally I feel that a bright inner corner is great at opening up the eye, and i wanted to keep the warm undertone theme throughout the eye look, so I used the true gold shade and lighter yellow-gold shade to highlight the inner corner of the eye.

I wanted to keep the lower lash line interesting also, so decided to reverse the order in which I had placed the shadows on the eye. I started with the yellow on the outside and inner part of the eye, continued in with the orange and used the pink for the centre of the lash line.
I really feel as though the look all came together when I added black liner, my favourite is the Soap & Glory SuperCat Liner. I also added tons of mascara, I used the Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lashes.

REVIEW: Anastasia Beverly Hills- Sun Dipped Glow Kit

A new addition to my make-up collection is the Anastasia Glow Kit, I was so excited to finally get my hands on this after it being out of stock everywhere! Being highlighted to the max is the main beauty trend at the moment, and personally a trend I'm a huge fan of.
I love the formula of these highlighters, they are extremely pigmented and easy to blend. The product melts into the skin and blends seamlessly on the face.
I love using a light dusting of the colour 'Summer' for a natural day highlight, and for a more dramatic evening look you can apply multiple layers to build up an even stronger look.
I love the bronze undertone of the shade 'Bronzed' and enjoy using this as a bronzer topper to transform my matte bronzer.
Out of the kit the only shade i'm not a huge fan of is the colour 'Tourmaline' I would say that this is the least wearable shade out of the palette as it has a purple undertone. Although this shade makes an incredible eyeshadow, I like to wet my brush beforehand with some make-up setting spray to make an intense lid colour.

Overall I love this palette, and I feel that there is a shade for everyone within the kit. For a price of £39 I feel that the kit is an affordable price as you are getting four highlighters for less than £10 each. Considering the going rate for a highlighter of this quality is usually £15-£30 I feel that the Glow Kit is a steal.
